Create a trigger on Honeycommb and send an update to Zapier or any other platform that accepts webhooks.

Webhooks are one way that apps and platforms can send automated messages or information to other apps. For example, it's how PayPal tells your accounting app when your clients pay you, or how you can send automated digests of surveys to members of your team.
They're a simple way your online accounts can "speak" to each other and get notified automatically when something new happens. In many cases, you'll need to know how to use webhooks if you want to automatically push data from one app to another.
Zapier is one of the leaders on the internet in support of webhooks and creating zaps (their words for an automated workflow) and work very well with Honeycommb in automating some of your tasks. Zapier works well with thousands of different apps and platforms and can help solve a lot of manual tasks with your community.

To use a webhook that can be triggered from your Honeycommb community please take the followings steps:
1. From your webhooks page create a new webhook to get started.
2. Once you create a new webhook, you'll need to select the appropriate event from the drop-down menu. If you don't see an event that you would like to use in your webhook, then please reach out to your success manager to coordinate the creation of that event.
3. After entering your event, you'll need to input a Payload URL (you can skip the "Secret") and the payload URL will be generated from either Zapier or another service that will be capturing your webhook.
4. After this, your webhook is created! Honeycommb will begin sending data to your destination after your webhook is created.
If you'd like to request a new event as a webhook, please reach out to your success manager!
